Return Policy

We at Possum Boutique want to give our customers an easy and stress-free online shopping experience. We understand that buying online means you may find the actual product a little different to what you expected.

If for any reason you are not satisfied, we are happy to issue a store credit or exchange for any returned merchandise (minus shipping costs). Refunds are also an option in the case of defective products.

Store credit or product exchange is our primary method for compensating you for returned items. Refunds will only be offered if products

  • have a genuine manufacturing fault
  • don’t do what they meant to or are defective
  • are materially different from what was expected based on description or samples shown 
  • aren’t reasonably fit for the purpose sold for

Your compensation will be processed within five business days after we have received the returned product and our returns team have determined that your return meets the standard for a refund. Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment.

Our returns policy includes the rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Protection Law and provides you with additional benefits in addition to those rights.

To qualify for a refund / credit / exchange, please ensure that

  • The product has not been worn, altered and/or washed and is in a resalable condition.
  • The product has not been damaged whilst in your possession.
  • The original tags are attached to the product 
  • Returns must be postmarked and mailed within 15 days from receipt of merchandise. 
  • We unfortunately cannot accept returns of socks for hygiene reasons.

For international orders, please be aware that you will be responsible for any applicable duties, taxes or other charges that occur when your products are delivered. International returns initiated due to refusal to pay duties and taxes will be subject to a NZ$25 restocking fee which will be deducted from the refund amount.

Please include the original packing list with your return to avoid any delays in processing. Once the package is received, we will process the return, and you will be notified via email.

Outside the above 15 day timeframe, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Protection Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

We reserve the right to correct, update or change our returns/refund/exchange policy at any time without notification.

 

 

Purchasing Outside New Zealand

For international orders, please be aware that you will be responsible for any applicable duties, taxes or other charges that occur when your products are delivered. It is your responsibility to ascertain and obey all local and international laws in regard to the possession, use and sale of any item from this site.

 

Insurance

Possum Boutique insures each purchase against damage during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address.

Tracking may not be available to some countries or uneconomical to provide door to door tracked courier service, therefore you may be asked to share the cost of this service.
